Last updated: February 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how NVR Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Bowling VR application ("the App") available on the Meta Horizon Store for Meta Quest devices.
We do not collect any personal information. Bowling VR is designed as a fully offline, single-player experience. Specifically:
Bowling VR stores a small amount of non-personal data locally on your Meta Quest device using Android SharedPreferences:
| Data | Purpose | Stored Where |
|---|---|---|
| High scores | Leaderboard display | Device only |
| Game settings | Volume, difficulty preferences | Device only |
| Tutorial flag | Show tutorial only on first launch | Device only |
This data:
Bowling VR does not integrate or use any third-party services, including but not limited to:
Bowling VR is rated for Teens and Adults (13+) as per Meta's age group requirements. Since we do not collect any personal data from any user, including children, we are compliant with applicable children's privacy regulations such as COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar international laws.
The App requests the following Android permissions for VR functionality:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| HAND_TRACKING | Meta Quest hand tracking support (optional input method) |
| RENDER_MODEL | Render controller models in VR |
| MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS | Game sound effects and volume control |
| VIBRATE | Haptic feedback on ball release and pin impact |
| WAKE_LOCK | Prevent screen sleep during active gameplay |
| INTERNET | Declared in manifest but not used — no network requests are made |
Note: The INTERNET permission is included in the Android manifest as part of standard Meta Quest SDK dependencies but is not actively used by the App. Bowling VR makes zero network connections.
We do not share any data with any third party because we do not collect any data. There is nothing to share.
Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no risk of data breach from our App. Local game data (scores, settings) is stored using standard Android SharedPreferences, which is sandboxed to the App and inaccessible to other applications on the device.
Although we do not collect personal data, we respect your data rights under applicable laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and others):
Bowling VR is distributed through the Meta Horizon Store. Your use of the Meta Quest hardware and Meta platform is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy and Meta's Terms of Service. We have no control over data collected by Meta's platform or hardware.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we do not collect any user contact information, we cannot notify you of changes directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the App, please contact us:
This Privacy Policy is effective as of February 16, 2026.
